The integrated platform goes on Cloud

A new version of Omniaplace has been released, full of news and increasingly flexible.

The new version of the Omniaplace frontend presents a completely renewed user interface that aims at a more modern and intuitive user experience, referring to the principles of material design style, and to the support of display on mobile devices, both tablet and smartphone. In fact, there are many innovations, in addition to restyling the graphics of all the perspectives of the system, which go in this direction, including: greater presence of hidden elements, greater modification more user-friendly on many elements (drag & drop), greater graphic configurability of the file view (e.g.configurable toolbars) and the ability to quickly filter the data present in a file.

The new back-end version of the Omniaplace platform is renewed from an architectural point of view: based on a modern microservice approach, the system exploits the stateless nature of its components (REST web service) to achieve scalability and elasticity. The new backend is in fact cloud-ready and therefore flexible compared to the installation: thanks to the use of Docker it can be released in the cloud. Implemented with the use of open source technologies, production-ready and produced for the development of this type of modern systems (Java, Spring, Spring Cloud, Docker), the new release allows you to more easily integrate new components, languages and technologies to each other ) and can also count on other features, including: support for interactions between the various components thanks to a message queue (implemented in RabbitMQ), the use of Redis for caching functionality and the integration of tools and components for monitoring of the stack system management (ELK stack).
